That’s right guys! Rumor has it, that Microsoft has a new console in development!
According to speculation from some critics and gaming companies, it is believed that Microsoft will not release another gaming console until 2014. Ben Peterson, who is a designer for Microsoft Xbox, released a very vague image that appears to be of nothing, with the caption “collaboration with Microsoft’s IEB Design group investigating future user experiences and hardware for 2015.”. It was marked as confidential, and was soon taken down. However, an outside source had managed to take a screenshot before the image was removed.
With all of that being said; is this the next console planned for 2015?
Several new job listings, posted on LinkedIn, consisted of titles that would suggest that there is indeed a team currently in development of what is called a future release on the Xbox platform. These titles were soon taken down after the public had noticed.
Interviews with Staff Developers, revealed that the new Xbox will have 3D capabilities, and have the latest in technology/graphics.
The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim game by Bethesda is nearing it’s release date November 11th 2011. We’ve seen some gameplay from various sources but now we can see the whole picture of the world map. With a world this massive we can finally see what lies north of Cyrodil except for those infamous “You cannot go that way, turn back” messages. To sum up the explanation of the link our source Digital Trends sums it up best.
The source for the map is from the Russian gaming exhibition Igromir (which was then picked up by Kotaku) where it was handed out by Bethesda, which if nothing else just shows the global appeal of this game—it also explains why the text is in Russian. The map was then hoisted onto Elderscrolls.net.
Regardless of the happenings behind the source we can assume that this is the real deal. If not, we’ll see the true blue world map on November 11th.
