Disgruntled Bayonetta Fan Wants You to Play the Sequel the ‘Right Way’ by ‘Boycotting’ It

In case you thought the initial outrage against the announcement that Bayonetta 2 would be a Wii U exclusive was a fluke, a particularly mean-spirited gamer decided to set up a “boycott” campaign. How cute.

He (she?) wants you to play Bayonetta 2 “the right way” by refusing to pay for either it or Wii U new. Instead, you should just buy them used – because that way, Platinum Games and Nintendo don’t “get a CENT for your purchase.” It’s sure to work, right? I mean, obviously there isn’t already a large used market for people who don’t feel like paying full price for a system or its games, so buying used is going to totally wreck Nintendo and Platinum Games for daring to put an exclusive HD game on the next-gen Wii, as opposed to turning both of them off to future attempts to do something nice for an ungrateful fanbase. That’ll show ‘em.

    Resident Evil Remake, Resident Evil Zero, and Resident Evil 4 all went to Nintendo Gamecube and only RE-4 has ever gone to some other console because Nintendo didn’t have the publisher stamp on that one. Monster Hunter moved from Sony PSP to Nintendo 3DS and it looks like majority support of that franchise from Capcom is sticking with Nintendo.
    Now this Bayonetta game that original publisher was not willing to fund sequel on due to lack of sales, got picked up by Nintendo in a free market is creating all this stir. What a bunch of jokers. Nobody should take them seriously.

    LOL, no I wont Boycott it…Look Final Fantasy used to be on Nintendo (not the spin offs) and Now its not….so Boo Hooo….deal with it people…How are you going to “Boycott” a game on a system you don’t even want to own? IF you don’t Own Wii U You can not boycott it because YOU DON’T HAVE THE OPTION TO PLAY IT….LMAO

    Why would you boycott a good game on a new console? I plan on buying the Wii U and Bayonetta 2 brand new. I”m actually glad Bayonetta 2 isn’t on the PS3 or Xbox 360 , the Wii U has better graphical capabilities.

    I wish these people would do some research. The game only exists because Nintendo picked it up from development hell. It’s either Bayonetta 2 on the Wii U or not at all.

    So maybe 2 million angry fanboys will buy Bayo2 used, while 100 million satisfied Wii gamers will pick up the Wii U and Bayonetta 2 brand new.
    I say let that vocal minority do what they want. After they caused the death of Tales Studio by making Namco focus on the playstations, third parties shouldn’t have to cater to them no matter how much they cry and beg.

    It would be far more productive to spend time finding out the actual truth of how the Bayonetta franchise launched on X360 and PS3 and not Wii but ended up becoming an exclusive with a brand that has shown their market for mature games is limited. If Sega did indeed pull the plug on Bayonetta but Nintendo paid for the re-connection, it seems bizarre that they would try to save a mature game for an audience that is arguably much younger than the other Sony and Microsoft’s userbase.

    we all sell our used Wii Us and Bayo 2s at a higher price so that they pay more than buying it in store and so that we can buy ourselves and extra Wii U and Bayo 2. Thats how you boycott a boycotter

    I find this funny once Nintendo get’s a good game (btw never played or heard of either of them) the little bitches with their PS3′s and XBOX 360′s come out crying, let’s see what games we didn’t get on the past Nintendo console (can’t really name any, lame) but for Call of Duty: World at War on the Wii, no zombies, With Black Ops it was way watered down, and all the gamesites (IGN, gamefaqs, etc.) act like Nintendo doesn’t exist, so let me ask you who really has the right to complain?
