Zelda: Oracle of Ages & Oracle of Seasons Will Launch at a Discount on 3DS

In order to ensure that as many players as possible can try out the Virtual Console versions of Zelda: Oracle of Seasons & Oracle of Ages for Nintendo 3DS, Nintendo’s offering both games at a special discount price of $4.99 each for the first three weeks following their May 30 launch. After June 20, they’ll revert back to their normal $5.99 price.

Make sure you take advantage of the linked game function to experience the full story and unlock all the secrets and extras. It’s one of the most content-rich Zelda stories to date once you combine both games, with over 16 dungeons and four overworlds to conquer.

This Week’s Nintendo Downloads: Buy Super Mario World, Get Mario 2 for 50% Off

Nintendo’s big Thursday eShop update just launched, meaning you can now buy new Virtual Console titles for Wii U. This week’s update includes the NES classic Super Mario Bros. 2, and a special promotion deal: if you own a Wii U Virtual Console copy of Super Mario World, you can nab the NES release for 50% off. The deal’s only good for one week – it’ll end at 9am Pacific on May 23.

Also live today are Super Ghouls’n Ghosts, Swords & Soldiers 3D, as well as Mega Man 5 and Harvest Moon for 3DS Virtual Console. Two new retail titles – Resident Evil: Revelations and Lego Batman 2: DC Super Heroes – will go live on May 21.

Super Metroid is Out Now on Wii U Virtual Console for 30 Cents

A word to the wise Wii U owner: Super Metroid is now available for download as a Wii U Virtual Console title via the Nintendo eShop for $0.30. That’s probably the best deal you’ll ever get on a game this good.

The game comes with all the bells-and-whistles of normal Wii U Virtual Console titles, including Off-TV Play, save states, and the ability to customize the contr… wait, you could already do that in Super Metroid.

If you haven’t already, head over to the eShop sometime within the next 30 days to claim the limited-time discounted game before it gets bumped back up to its regular $7.99 price.

Xbox Live Marketplace Deal of the Week: May 14th

New PlayStation 3 Legacy Bundle Revealed

A new PlayStation 3 Legacy Bundle has been revealed and will be available at various retailers for $300 later this week. The bundle includes a 500 GB system, Gran Turismo 5 XL, InFamous 2, and 30 days of PlayStation Plus.

Gran Turismo 5 XL includes the original game, the Spec 2.0 update on-disc, and a voucher for $20 worth of downloadable content. This PS3 Legacy Bundle follows the God of War: Ascension Legacy Bundle that launched in March.

Nintendo Download: May 2, 2013 – Pac and Mega Men Come to Wii U

Nintendo has updated its download library with new Virtual Console games for Wii U and 3DS. Today you’ll be able to download the arcade classic Pac-Man on Wii U Virtual Console as well as the first Mega Man for NES. On 3DS, non-Ambassadors finally get access to Balloon Fight, which was the first Famicom 30 Trial Campaign game for Wii U.

In addition, a number of active sales covering Nintendo-published games like Pushmo and Tokyo Crash Mobs and Shin’en games like the Nano Assault games for Wii U and 3DS have begun, and will run from now until May 9.

Bethesda Confirms Skyrim’s Legendary Edition Release

We picked up a story about a possible “Legendary Edition” release for The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim recently, and today, Bethesda confirmed the rumors. A definitive edition that includes all of the game’s DLC and the latest patch updates (through ver. 1.9) will be released at retail beginning on June 4 for PC, Xbox 360, and PS3 for $59.99.

I guess it’s a good thing I waited to pick this one up, eh?

Nintendo Europe: Register Three Select Nintendo 3DS Games, Get A Fourth Free

The Nintendo 3DS library is steadily growing larger, with many exciting titles coming out within the next few months. To celebrate, Nintendo Europe is starting a So Many Games! Promotion on a select range of top 3DS titles to help get the ball rolling.

In order to participate, players just have to register any three of eight top Nintendo 3DS titles with their Club Nintendo accounts by June 30th. After that, they will be able to gain a free download code of their most wanted game from the list for free. Yes, for free and it can be any of the remaining five games on the list. You might complain about the limited selection, but after taking a look at the list I know I was planning on getting at least three of these titles myself already.
